New Report to View All Searchable Reports
Run RPT7461 – WU – My Searchable Reports to view all searchable reports in one place based upon the signed in user’s security. Leave all prompts blank to see all searchable reports. The ability to run a report is contingent on one’s security roles and fields on the reports. Refer to the Workday Reporting Fundamentals reference guide. Best Practice to Prevent Orphaned Time
Orphaned time typically occurs when submitted or corrected time is not approved prior to payroll close. This can negatively impact a biweekly worker’s pay, requiring manual intervention to correct. Departmental HR Partners, Managers, and Timekeepers can follow best practices listed below to avoid downstream impacts.
Best Practice
Ensure time is in a Submitted or Approved status after corrections are made.
Review My Tasks to review time entries after the mass submit process and again prior to payroll close.
Departmental HR Partners and Managers can run RPT5987 – WU – Workers with Time Entered but not Submitted to find time with a status of Not Submitted prior to payroll close.
Departmental HR Partners, Managers, and Timekeepers can run RPT5988 – WU – Workers with Time Submitted but not Approved to find time with a status of Submitted prior to payroll close and RPT6958 – WU – Terminated Workers & Orphaned time – Time not Approved to identify all terminated workers with time submitted but not approved for prior weeks.
Payroll Deadlines
Managers, remind non-exempt workers to Request Time Off by September 16, 2024, for the upcoming WashU observed holiday. Approve time off requests before payroll deadlines for workers to receive correct paid time off and accurate accrual balances. Run RPT6712 – WU – Holiday Time Entry Exceptions and filter by Supervisory Organization to generate a list of eligible workers with no time entered for the holiday. Log into Collibra to review terms and definitions for RPT6712.
