The Office of Data Governance (ODG) was established in 2021 to improve the way WashU manages, accesses and analyzes University data. By creating a comprehensive business glossary & report catalog, while simultaneously, expanding data management, reporting and integration capabilities, WashU will achieve greater efficiencies and effectiveness for future expansion.
Advancing WashU Through Insight-Driven Decision Making
Our Purpose
Our University-wide, data informed vision is built on guiding principles such as:
- We strive for excellence
- We hold data policies, procedures, standards, intake processes and promote best practices.
- We will leverage our executive sponsorship and our broader data stewardship community to span across all data domains.
Data Stewardship Community
WashU’s Data Stewardship Community is a key component enabling a successful Data Governance Program. Through collaboration with executive sponsors, data stewards and data coordinators we will create a sustainable data and analytical data-informed cultural shift.
