
Jane joined Washington University as the Director of the Office of Data Governance (ODG) in August 2021. She manages the ODG team and is responsible for leading the strategic vision and adoption of the core foundational data governance framework pillars across the institutional platform (Danforth & WUSM). Jane brings 28+ years’ of diversified business/IT experience from global organizations concentrated in data management, data governance, and ERP systems implementations. She is passionate about turning information into action, building collaborative relationships with all the key business/technical stakeholders in the data governance journey, and most importantly partnering with the broader data stewardship community to elevate and sustain a solid/measurable data governance program that will cohesively & dynamically support our 10 data domains. Data governance is a movement of change to not only manage data as a strategic asset but to deliver resounding consistent, trusted data to power business value across our systemic landscape so we derive powerful analytical insights!
Jane graduated from Eureka College in 1993, and holds a BS in Biology, as well as completing her MBA at Fontbonne University in 2005.
She and her husband, Stephen, reside in St. Louis, and enjoys spending time with their 2 sons and 3 daughters.
